Friends of EWB at Virginia Tech

Friends of EWB-USA-Virginia Tech is a loosely-structured group of financial supporters providing assistance in the international project endeavors of the Virginia Tech Chapter. Their funds are used to subsidize costs for travel, material, and equipment. All donations made are 501 (c) (3) tax-deductible.

The following contribution levels have been established:

    Coporate Sponsors
  • Platinum $1,500 or more
  • Gold $1,000 - $1,500
  • Silver $500 - $1,000
  • Bronze $500 or less

How to Make a Donation

If you would like to make a donation, please fill out the following pledge form first (for accounting purposes) and then follow the payment steps below:

EWB-VT has an account with the Virginia Tech Foundation, which is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) tax exempt corporation. Donations made to this account are tax deductible and can be made electronically or by mail to the chapter's general fund or to an individual project. Money donated to the chapter's general fund allows the chapter to disburse funds to individual project accounts as needed.

By online secure form:

1. Go to https://webapps.banner.vt.edu/giving/academic_index.jsp

2. Fill out the form

3. In "Gift Designation" choose "Other Designation"

4. Write "International Development Initiatives of EWB-VT (874159)" in the "For" box. If you wish to give to a specific project you may additionally designate this in "For" box.

By check:

1. Make the check payable to "Virginia Tech Foundation, Inc"

2. Include the designation "874159 EWB-VT" in the memo line of the check. If you wish to give to a specific project you may additionally designate this in the memo line
